Welcome to the gates of Hell. Double 7’s puts a gold-crowned skull with a red “77” on its forehead inside ornate gothic gates, under a crescent moon and a starry night sky — printed on a classic black tee.
Above the gates, the famous line “Lasciate ogne speranza, voi ch’intrate” — “Abandon all hope, ye who enter here.” That’s what working this area felt like: nonstop calls, overwhelming caseloads, and streets where crime never slept.
